Ideas rarely arrive from nowhere.
More often, they come from noticing something that other people haven’t connected yet.
That is pattern recognition.
You see the same behaviour happening in different places.
A consumer habit.
A cultural shift.
A contradiction.
A repeated frustration.
A strange little detail.
Then something connects.
This is why experience can make creativity stronger.
Not because experienced people have more ideas stored in their heads.
Because they have seen more patterns.
A good creative is constantly collecting them.
What are people suddenly doing?
What have they stopped doing?
What feels normal now that didn’t five years ago?
What contradiction keeps appearing?
The interesting part is that patterns often live outside advertising.
They live in restaurants, apps, conversations, streets, families, workplaces and culture.
The wider you look, the more connections become available.
Creativity is often described as imagination.
It is also observation.
And sometimes the most original idea is simply the result of noticing two familiar things sitting next to each other in a new way.
