Sometimes the best thing a creative team can tell a client is:
“We don’t need another idea.”
Clients are often presented with options because options feel productive.
Three routes.
Five concepts.
Ten headlines.
But more choice doesn’t always create better decisions.
Sometimes the problem is not a lack of ideas.
It is a lack of confidence in the right one.
Or a lack of clarity about the problem.
Or too many stakeholders trying to solve different problems at once.
Creative work becomes stronger when the team can explain why one direction deserves attention.
That requires judgement.
It also requires the confidence to remove things.
A good creative partner is not an idea vending machine.
The job is to help a client make a better decision.
Sometimes that means bringing more ideas.
Sometimes it means killing nine of them.
