The internet made it incredibly easy to be seen.
It did not make it equally easy to be remembered.
Today, almost everyone can publish.
Brands publish.
Creators publish.
Founders publish.
Professionals publish.
The feed is full.
And because everyone is trying to look polished, a strange sameness has emerged.
Similar colours.
Similar hooks.
Similar formats.
Similar opinions.
Visibility has become easier.
Distinctiveness has become harder.
Being memorable doesn’t necessarily mean being louder.
It can mean having a recognisable point of view.
A particular way of explaining things.
A visual language.
A recurring idea.
A tone people can recognise without seeing the logo.
The internet rewards consistency because consistency creates familiarity.
But consistency without character creates wallpaper.
The question isn’t:
“How often are we posting?”
It is:
“If this post appeared without our name, would anyone know it was ours?”
That is a much more uncomfortable question.
And probably a more useful one.
